Hyvät, pahat ja rumat -elokuvan kahden levyn dvd-erikoislaitos ilmestyi Suomessa tuoreeltaan vuonna 2004. Sama aineisto on nyt päivitetty teräväpiirtomuotoon blu-ray-formaattiin. Sergio Leone oli armoton visualisti, ja Hyvät, pahat ja rumat oli hänen siihen mennessä kunnianhimoisin ja eeppisin elokuvansa. Se oli myös Clint Eastwoodin viimeinen italialainen western. Tarjolla on viisi vuotta sitten rekonstruoitu pitkä versio, johon Eastwood ja Eli Wallach dubbasivat oman äänensä. Uutena lisäaineistona on Christopher Fraylingin uusi vaihtoehtoinen kommenttiraita.
