Täydellinen kokoelma animaatioita, joissa Hessu on päähenkilönä, on koottu Walt Disney Treasures -sarjaan ja varustettu Leonard Maltinin kiinnostavilla johdannoilla ja liitedokumenteilla. Niissä käy ilmi myös Hessun alkuperäisen äänen Pinto Colvigin monipuolinen ura animaation alalla ja muutenkin. Hessu tuli Mikki- ja Aku -animaatioihin vuonna 1932 ja kohosi omien elokuviensa pääsankariksi vuonna 1939. Aikajärjestykseen kootuissa elokuvissa tulee ilmi Hessun suuri muodonmuutos 1930-luvun maalaisjuntista 1940-luvun urheiluhulluksi ja 1950-luvun tavalliseksi lähiöisäksi.
